Was thinking of giving obyron a run out with my deathmarks. Also adding a chronotek to the unit for some extra fun.

Also the group i play in allow the super cheese of deathmarks remarking everytime they deep strike.

My thinking is deep strike, mark, kill, counter cleave if they get charged, ghost walk and repeat. Chronotek is to help with scatter rolls and weave armour saves.

Sounds great if your group continues to ignore the recent round of FAQs saying Deathmarks CANNOT mark more than one unit per game. Obyron continues to rock no matter what the FAQs say...

oooo not read that yet but will check it out!

Apart from that do you reckon this unit could work? hoping it may solve my problem of the deathmarks deep striking, shooting then getting assaulted to death.

Your deathmarks are a one trick pony. They get their shots off and die immediately afterward. It fits their fluff and it fits their role. Any turn they survive after the initial barrage is just icing on the cake. Dropping points on Obyron to babysit them is worthless, as you're targeting deathstars with them anyway, and you don't want Oby getting powerfisted that first assault, which will happen.

listen to the man above.
What all these new kids seem to have trouble realizing is that there are certain times where you've gotta consider some units disposable (eg. Death & Despair squads, Storm-tek + 5 Warriors in Nightscythe).
As katfude said, if these units manage to do something more than what they had been meant to do, cool, enjoy your icing.
But if all they were able to do was wipe out that one deathstar or blow up that Landraider, then they've accomplished their intended purpose. Send the medal of honor to their metallic wives.
