First time poster, I've arranged a casual tournament with some friends with 5th edition rules. This is the first time I've played Necrons and I've come up with the following army list. I've tried to make it suitable for a number of different army types (I know I'll definitely be facing IG, CSM, Ork and Space Marine armies out of the 7 armies)

fifth? stop living in the past hippie. ohh well wont face any flyers then but certainly some armor 14! tougth about the monolith? i recall it being more of a beast back then.

Yeah we're all getting back into the game and none of have the new rulebook yet!

I looked at the monolith but I wasn't sure if it was too many points for a 1500 point game.

Is it better to start the monolith on the table or deep strike it?

that really depends what you play against deepstriking it is just a suprise boom boom boom! but against sush armies like orks its best out on turn one, we barly got anything that can glance/pen it on range

Ok I might drop one of the Triarchs and the scarabs for it then.
