Where did you find the card template, or did you edit an existing one?

They're available to download from the website: http://blackwatergulch.com/blog/blackwater-gulch-preview-rules/

Some day I hope to find a programmer who will work for minis, so I can build an automated character & gang builder app.. where you design your character, upload your own photo of your mini or whatever, and then it spits everything out into a PDF with cards that you can print out.

I made this one by photoshopping an existing card. You can tell the lettering is quite different.

I have a large collection of minis that I would like to use, rather than be limited to the existing BWG minis. So I spent the weekend turning the existing BWG character cards into "generic" cards for each profession. I labeled each one with the profession and character level, rather than a specific name and gang. Then I pasted example photos (Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, etc) into the spot where the character photo goes.

I figured it would be the easiest to play if my cards were organized by profession rather than linked to a specific miniature.

I have done something similar, but I have been putting photos of the miniatures in that space to make identification on the table top easier.

When you have 6 different banditos with similar stats, it is easier to pick them out if the cards have images of the models themselves.

Kirasu: Have we fallen so far that we are excited that GW is giving us the opportunity to spend 58$ for JUST the rules? Surprised it's not "Dataslate: Assault Phase"

AlexHolker: "The power loader is a forklift. The public doesn't complain about a forklift not having frontal armour protecting the crew compartment because the only enemy it is designed to face is the OHSA violation."

AlexHolker: "Allow me to put it this way: Paramount is Skynet, reboots are termination attempts, and your childhood is John Connor."

I thought long and hard about doing it that way, but I decided that I have far too many models and it would take me weeks to do it that way.

Also, I'd spend a LOT of ink and contact paper.

Thanks for that I spent some time looking there, but just couldn't find them.

Sadly, I don't have Photoshop, so here's one I put together from another card...

I forgot to attach this to my previous post - as I don't have Photoshop, I made a template file that works in Paint.NET (which is free). All you need to do is add your image as a layer behind the three text boxes, add your text, and you're golden.

I got this model from Ainsty Castings and it is very cool.

If you really want to cause some pain, pair him with a Wrassler Professional, a Doctor Professional, and at least one melee Henchman.

Looking good

I was thinking of having Lincoln Abel as a monster hunter in the undead expansion Along with Stanley Helsing and Vincent Hopkins

LOL.... My brother actually got that picture printed and he hung it on his wall. That's great.

I have seen one or two Teddy miniatures, usually for Span-Am War games. I haven't been terribly impressed. A larger BWG Teddy miniature would be pretty cool.

the problem with doing TR in a serious setting is that it get's a little ridiculous. You need to be able to over emphasise some traits for real life personas to fit in wargames. It's aeasier to get away with doing this in a serious setting if the real life counterpart is futher back in time. No one minds king arthur or julius caesar taking on 10 men and winning, but when we see abe lincoln or tr do that same we realise that's likely not how it happened (at least not in a fair fight, and that the thing real life heroes didn't fight fair that's why they lived to be heroes)

Teddy once rode a moose across a river, it's possible any attempts to over emphasise his traits might not go far enough

Personally, I'd stay away from most historical figures (especially those who went on to be President). Mixing history and fantasy can be fun, but it can be a little overpowering and distract from the fun of the game.

I tend towards the classic Spaghetti Westerns. Here are a couple of my character cards with images from movie posters. I created multi-character "henchman" sheets Photoshopping a blank sheet.
