This is a revised version of my Marneus Calgar list I had previously posted. I haven't played much 6th edition, so I didn't know that Battle Brother IC's couldn't hook up in friendly transports according to pg. 112 of the BRB. Anyway, I'm using Marneus and his guard because I have them painted well. Honestly, they are the only thing I would ask that isn't changed from this list, everything else can be changed. (Side note: the reason I'm including guard is because I think it's cool).

1800 is sort of a random number to stop at, is there a reason for that?

My question here is why bother with Calgar? I love him, but when I run him, he's with a full 10x Terminator TH/SS squad and deep striking in near a drop pod with a Tele homer. They eat some shots, and then comes the boom! But in this list, I don't see him doing much?

Ehh, he goes with a blob squad ideally.

I figured, but why? He's far too expensive a model just to babysit, and you aren't capitalizing on his GoW. I like him, I like the list, but I don't like the way they're together. Any way to fit a small termie squad, or CC squad in there to give him some purpose?

I'm not really sure. I'm beginning to find that there isn't really that great of a way to utilize him without just throwing 10th/ss termies in their face. I only had honor guard, so I might not play Ultramarines after all which is sad because he is my favorite model ever.
