Seems good, I would consider dropping the hierophant for a vassal personally

pKreoss doesn't get much milage out of an Attendant Priest. He isn't a spell slinger like his third incarnation.

Generally, he'll cast Defenders Ward and Lamantation on turn 1 and upkeep them the rest of the game.

What he does other than that is give Focus to Jacks and camp the rest. None of which a heirophant helps with.

So I'll second the Vassal reccomendation.

Ill have to 3rd the vassal.

When i see a Vanquisher.. To me it is a 10pt jack not an 8 pt jack.

Vanquisher + Vassal.

For 2 points.. your are doubling the damage the Jack does at range.

There is no real difference between friendly and casual play for warmachine. My FLGS has a casual atmosphere, but the lists and tactics are hardcore(compared to 40k or Fantesy)

The game is designed for you to bring your toughest meanest list, each time, every time.


I don't have any real experience with Reznik sadly. He's a cool caster, but for someone thats new to any sort of competitive play I would not advise you to use him.

All the casters can be used competitivly, some require more skill and more specilized lists to use. I would want to play a ton of games with him to experiment with different builds to see how to use him properly.

Although for that one game where he Wracks a Gargantuan or a Caster, I'd play him just for the Shiggles.

Alright, I'll look into a Vassal, oh and Grey Templar, for that reply I ment for it to target the "Is this your only list for the tourney" question, sorry for not making that clear.

That's fine, you have the option to take another one if it's a steamroller format unless they say 1 list only, and sometimes it's nice to have the option in case you run into a bad match-up or just don't feel like playing that list anymore (Guilty of doing that myself, played reznik though I'm more comfortable with my pSevy list a couple of times because I got tired of playing the pSevy list...Caster/faction ADD sucks).

However, since you are new to the tourney scene, I would second Grey Templar's statement that it would be a better idea to familiarize yourself with your pKreoss list before you try another caster, especially when it's one that can require a bit of different thinking like Reznik since he's a bit harder to protect. That said, I enjoy reznik quite a bit because Iron Aggression is a fun spell and he can get the job done himself with engine of destruction. The list you have would work well with Reznik, though I would still swap the hierophant for a vassal in both cases. In addition, Reznik has 1 more jack point than pKreoss, so you could get wracks or a mechanic with that spare point. My choice would be the wracks since you'll probably want to make some heretics into wracks at some point, and would need the models for that.

@grey templar: It pains me to say it, but you can't wrack the gargantuan since it's not a warrior model. PP clearly needs to fix that problem That said, IIRC vindictus can still make it into a loyal holy zealot though

Thats what I get for reading his entry too fast. Turning him into a Zealot is more fun anyway.
