Imagine a city and a state with the strictest firearms laws in America. By the logic of the gun control lobby it should be one of the safest in America, but unfortunately Chicago haven of crooked politicians and horrible ideas every where is in deep trouble, and scion of the people Jesse Jackson is calling for backup!

Irony aside is this even possible or legal? Besides being annoying as hell it's like the Reverend hold any official position... any where really within any state or local government to my knowledge. So can some random guy call for aide like that? Wouldn't petitioning the Governor of Illinois for state resources, like a potential Nation Guard mobilization to secure the war torn, third world hell hole that is apparently Chicago? and more importantly how is this going to effect Chicago O'hare and national flight times?

Jesse Jackson just remembered he's now completely irrelevant to the world again so he had to do something stupid so everyone would notice and give him a chance to explain how he was the messiah of civil rights and MLK didn't do anything but give a speech.

He's just preparing for a day that Obama doesn't tell him to shut up anymore.

Yep. I cannot explain how much I dislike Jesse Jackson's method of operation. Even if he's working for a decent cause it gets trod down under "I'm Jesse Jackson"

Hmmm Al Sharpton hasnt been in the media too much as of late either... I think hes about due for something stupid as well..

He's on 5 times a week. He has a show on MSNBC now. It's a laughable joke of a show, but he still has his platform.

It's at least as possible and legal as me declaring that the OT is now a federal disaster zone and requesting FEMA support for those lives that have been ruined by it, in that my opinions are totally meaningless and have no special weight to them.

Also, calling for Homeland Security? The only time anyone with any influence should mention them in public is when using it to finish the sentence "Due to their neverending run of incompetence, we should disband the department of..."
