I haven't played, not for years, and even when I did play back before the Tau were introduced, when Necrons were little more than White Dwarf filler, I was terrible at painting.

So I've returned to the hobby, older and with more disposable income, but less wanting to mix with many of the people that occupy my local gaming stores.. and maybe a little more patient.

Reading a lot of recent lore and books, I've homed in on the Salamanders as my army of choice.. I love their lore, and they have interesting options for expanding my feeble painting skills.

Oh, and LBurlsey's awesome How to guide blew my mind and made me want to do that!

I've decided to make this blog to publicly shame inspire myself enough to keep going and improve, along with getting a little feedback.

I'm going to be starting with some random marine models I have laying around, to try out the techniques in the video I watched, and then slowly work up to more complex models once I get that down.

Wish me luck!

First coat and wash complete, I'll be working on the lighter tones once I get home from work tonight.
