Smoketreader here. I've been playing 40k since 1991 (I think) and have been in and out of the game since then.
I don't beleive I'm a good player on the grounds that I returned with the release of Assault on Black Reach-and set up a club in Greece where I now live-only to encourage balanced, 'gentlemanly' armies (as per the insistence of the White Dwarf of my day) only to be steamrolled by anyone, new or old, with the new super armies coming out these days.

My original army was Eldar. Their craftworld, (Eborium), was destroyed in a campaign and they are now exodites awaiting anagenesis.

Space marines came next. Right now, Imperial Fists successors (Chrome Novas), with other chapters in the past or on the sideline right now.

Then a little bit of Chaos, heavily converted but disinteresting to me -more ignored than used for gaming. Iron Warriors are my choice but I don't like the current 'fairness' given to all the Legions. I preferred the restrictions as of Index Astartes and the 4th ed Master Crafted Codex of brilliant example of how a Codex could be.

Now I have discovered Orks, which allow me to convert my heart out. I love my Orks very much and hope to put some photos up after I spend some time learning to navigate my way around the ropes here at DakkaDakka and work out where to address some issues I'm having with an inability to lead my Chrome Novas to victory against new Codexes.
