This past week many players scored quite a few Recon points and their forces have gathered the knowledge necessary for Strategic Actions.

Next week I'm sure there will be Strategic Missions. Be sure to read how to challenge and/or why you would want to accept such a challenge. Remember that the challenger (the guy spending the Recon points) is ALWAYS the attacker. Be sure to check the mission chart in the rules for full details. Also, think about what you'd field. Strategic missions are Raid priority by default.

Other news:

A quick note, I've got the "Painting Bonus" now working properly in the calculation. This means you DO NOT add in your painting bonus to your VP's when recording a battle. Just check the check box if your fleet was modeled and painted.

If this box is checked, you'll automatically pick up +3 Recon points!

Example: Pete played me last week and destroyed all my (4 patrol) ships: 10 points per ship, +5 for "holding the field" so he gains 45. He enters 45 in the VP spot and checks off "Every model painted".

In the rankings you'll note Pete has 48 Recon points. 45 + his painting bonus.
