Got me some IG for an allied detatchement for either my BA, Chaos, Eldar or Daemons Now am thinking of a color scheme that would not scream loyalist, or traitor, depending on who i will ally them with. I was thinking of something like a grey uniform with the flak armor and helmets painted up camo greenish. I would then do some highlighting via. dry brushing, paint the flesh and guns (guns would be black and metal). And then give them a really good treatment with agrax earthshade wash to make them look dirty for a battleworn look for loyalist guardsmen, or a non-maintained or supplied look for traitor guard. I was first thinking of painting the flak armor black, but that would make the models look really boring IMO. What would you suggest?

this would be somewhat close on what i was thinking, exept much dirtier.

The green and grey works well for the nondescript guardsmen.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Yeah the green and grey looks great! what colour green is the flak armour? it works well as it's neither too bright or too dark for the theme you want! i'll be following these guys to see what happens next!

I will have to wait for my local store to get Flames of War grey spray paint. Will be priming my models with that, then painting the flak and other colors, after which i will be using washes and drybrushing to get the final result. Will post pictures after i get my first models done
