Hey,
i just found that rule and i´m not really sure about my interpretation. Can every model with access to some kind of armory take two pistols, shoot both while in their shooting phase and afterwards assault with +1 attack or is gunslinger a special rule only applicable to some models?
If so, am i able to take the same weapon twice or do i have to mix?

Gunslinger isn't so much a special rule that a model gets, it's just an acknowledgment that a model with 2 pistols can shoot both in the shooting phase.

So yes, any model with any 2 pistols can fire both in the shooting phase, and they both count as close combat weapons still. It works just like you'd imagine it would.

But no, not every model with weapon options has the option to take two pistols.

Right. That comes down to what their individual unit entry says.

All Gunslinger gives you is the ability to fire two pistols if you have them.

Most models that have a list of options that I have seen allow for the option to get two pistols, but you will have to look at the specifics.

A few codices have entrees like: "any member of the unit can replace their bolt pistol and/or chainsword with....." and the list the options. Replacing the sword with another pistol lets you fire both and still retain the +1 attach in CC.

It's an AWESOME addition to the game.
