Now, i know that regular spray paint is generally a no-no when it comes to mini's, but i just saw the liquitex professional spray paint at Michaels, and that stuff comes in so many fantastic colors.... has anyone used the stuff? would it be acceptable on miniatures?

this is the stuff i was looking at http://www.liquitex.com/spraypaint/

I think he is talking about using them to actually paint the models.

I haven't heard of Liquitex, however I have successfully used Montana Gold for painting an army.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

I've been using the bright red for months now.

It works great, so long as you prime with something else first.

It is also a rather soft spray paint, so it scraps off easily, so you have to be careful with it until you can seal the paint job all up. I suppose you could lay down the spray and then put some matte varnish on it or something, but I don't like to put too many extraneous layers on my minis.

i find the liquidtex paints to go on pretty thick. You need lots of thin layers.

Just gonna toss in that a single action airbrush and some canned air will save you a ton of woe's no matter what color you want to spray including primer.

i second the airbrush. i think a cheap set with can air will be much better than the liquidtex. that stuff is expensive and a cheap airbrush will be useable inside to prime and paint.
