Since the markerlight drone is pretty useless in the stealth suit team, I was planning to use its pieces on the XV 8 to make a commander. here is my idea(it will have a command node on it as well)

take the objective piece and glue it on top of the vent"?" behind the head. On one side, i will put the drone underbelly piece, then put the markerlight piece on the top, with the drone antenna piece on it.

My questions are:
where should I put the target lock? on the other side of the drone belly piece or the other side of the objective marker?
Would it be ok if I make a mold of this instead of taking the markerlight pieces of the drone every time I get the kit?

How many hardpoints does this guy get? 3 not including the markerlight and target lock?

Anybody know if this will work? I really need some help here. I have very limited experience with modifying kits, so before I take the 45 dollar plunge, I need to know if this will work, and if their are any better options or if you guys could come up with some even cooler ideas.
