I recently went to a tournament with 3 Tervigons and although they are pretty good they are slow and a pain to keep taking termagants out and putting them back in the box so I've decided to do an army with most of it in your face turn one and with rest of the army by turn 2.

Let me know what you think.

So the stealers will infiltrate near the enemy and charge straight forward and the tyrants will go forward but keeping the HQ in cover so I get the hive commander perk(+1 to reserve rolls)

Obviously everything else should pretty much be out turn 2 for target priority madness.

Broodlords and Tyrants swapping powers for Biomancy(Broodlords with iron arm!!!!)

I think it would be fun to play and would give most armys a lot of trouble and anything beats slow moving in and out the box hordes!!!

Those 7 body squads are going to have to live through 1 or 2 rounds of fire + over watch. That is going to make it really really hard to get them in to effective range and intact enough to be effective with out a bigger more pressing threat. I am not sure 2 flyrants is going to be enough threat against the type lists that will worry about stealers broods.

Broodlords can't use any witchfire powers which makes them a bit dice. Iron arm is good, but I think endurance is better.

I've just go back from a tournament where I used this list and I won 3 lost 3 but two of the losses were to Tau with Eldar allies and the third was to a "Mishap Deepstrike Zone" Gayknight army and all three games were on boards with next to no cover.

I've been thinking about taking a Mawloc or two next time as I struggled with army's filling an Aegis so having to DS in front so I was thinking of Mawloc as he can hit them from underneath plus make them have to move 1" away or be destroyed.

What are people thoughts?

Yeah, Mawloc's are making a little bit of a comeback lately. I think the genestealers are out of place. I agree, playing Tervigons in tournaments is annoying and tough on the back but for now they're the best unit in the codex. I like the other elements you have, I just don't see non-Ymgarls being effective.

Yeah this is an old list idea. I've totally stopped using stealers.

If I had a Mawloc at the tournament I could have won 2 of the three games I lost which sucks but it gives me something to think about for next time...
