If I have figures from two distinct units in base to base contact with my aegis defense line's quad cannon, can one model from each unit forego their normal weapon and shoot the quad gun on their respective unit's shooting phase?
If so, does this smack of rules cheese or unethical play?
Actually this was covered in another thread but in the end what you are limited by is the fact that the gun itself has a profile and it is alluded that it can only be fired per the profile once per shooting phase. It does not actually set a limit in the number of unit as all it says is one model may fire the gun instead of it's own weapon but does not give a time period.
ADD causes my posts to ramble from time to time. Please bear with me.
page 105 is clear, only one person can shoot with the gun emplacement per shooting phase.
"One model in base contact with the gun emplacement can
fire it instead of his own weapon" P. 105
Context tells us that the gun emplacement is used in the shooting phase.
The rule says one model can fire the gun emplacement.
If two models try to fire the gun emplacement then the rule is broken.
