Off and on today, when opening the Forums List page, I'm getting an "unsafe" warning. Not sure if it's one of the banner ads or what.

odd - there is no apparent link to that in anywhere I can see. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

I'm getting this after nearly every post I open!

Clearing cache now to see if it's some sort of nuisance cookie.

That's a normal google advert - definitely an issue with your malware detection software for that one unless google have been hacked (unlikely!).

Unless the company providing your Internet access is injecting additional code, I cant see any risks so far. If anyone else is experiencing the same then I'm eager to hear about it, but I cant see any problems from this end.

It's annoying as hell. Not sure why it's suddenly doing this.

Well, imo, officescan is kinda garbage anyway.

1.) I'd download, install, and run Malwarebytes.
2.) Did it find something infected in your cache? Remove it. Otherwise, post back.
3.) Optionally at this point, remove Officescan and install Avast Free instead.

@Ouze: Thanks! But this is my work computer, and I cannot uninstall Officescan nor add any new programs not on the approved list.

I don't have any problems with my home computer.

Since I purged my chache and rebooted, the problem finally stopped. Odd that it's happened twice this week. I wonder what's changed?

Well, that explains a lot - I've never seen Officescan on a personal computer before. I've deployed it to thousands of work PC's though.

My feeling is you got a drive-by infection and the infected object was in your cache until you purged it. Are you forced to use IE as well?
