I bought a bunch of the Alkemy Republic of Khaliman figures at miniaturemarket.com, where they're on sale. I'm planning to add them to my collection as a "beastmen of ind" army, but I can't decide which army book to base it on.

Leading contenders are:

High Elves (could represent graceful, "good" beastmen),
Lizardmen (allows me to mix and match with lizardmen figures for a beast-centric army)
Beastmen (most obvious, but requires hordes of them, which I'll be hard-pressed to buy/convert)
Warriors of Chaos (another option, and I could add in trolls and such, but this still seems not quite right).

Any other suggestions?

Also, if I wanted to add other models to the range, what would you suggest? I've thought about Hell Dorado saracens -- since they're similarly dressed. Then I could push the "mixed beast/human culture" angle. The other thought was some of the models from the Mierce lines -- http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-a-world-of-war.

I thought about Crocodile games, but I don't like the sculpting on most of their figures, and they seem a bit too "egyptian" rather than Indian/generic Middle Eastern (<-- I recognize that these are two VERY different cultures IRL, but I think they blend together in the WHFB setting).
