Hi all.

Working on a 4000 pt pre-heresy team army comprised of 4 traitorous legions. Planning to utilize helldrakes, so I'm looking for some ideas as to what to use as a replacement. I'm open to ideas on GW conversions or other models but looking for something that won't break the bank.

Ideally something that fits the fluff. The army may be based around Istvann (currently we're using Sons of Horus, Emperors Children, Death Guard, and World Eaters), so I was thinking maybe some kind of low orbit bomber (figuring the baleflamer could represent the virus bombs)? Somebody might have a better suggestion. Open to any ideas, thanks!

What about one of the Forgeworld Chaos fighters, the Hellblade?

I thought of the hellblade initially but I don't think that was a pre-heresy fighter they used, I think that's something they picked up later afterwards.

I just looked at puppetswar's flyers but they're basically the same as starting off with a storm talon. I like that conversion pretre, thanks for sharing.

Oh that's a really cool idea.. I didn't see the scarabs on them until now. I might have to do that to make some allies for my necrons
