I feel like the language in the rules leaves this open for too much interpretation... I'm trying to figure out if force weapons (when activated) over ride Eternal Warrior...

Activated force weapons cause Instant Death.

Eternal Warrior makes the model immune to the effects of Instant Death.

What is open to interpretation?

Force causes Instant Death. Eternal Warrior means you're immune to Instant Death.

Case closed?

The Black Mace does not cause Instant Death....on the first part of the Curse, if it causes one or more unsaved wounds on a model (really only matters with multi-wound models) the model takes a Toughness test, and if it fails, it is removed as a casualty with no saves of any kind. That is far more grim and awesome than Instant Death, and could even remove the likes of Drago, Abaddon, Greater Daemons, etc.
