I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to cut off the zerker bunny ears and put them on another head. Not sure what the best way to do it would be. I'm trying the put my World Eaters army together and want some variation in the heads. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you looked at the ForgeWorld upgrade pack for the Berserkers?
Should give you a few more different heads, bodies, and shoulder pads.

Ya I have but I like some of the heads from the regular chaos heads. I was just wondering what would be the best way to chop and fit the zerker bunny ears to another head.

It would be quite a fiddly task and they would be in constant danger of falling off. I'm not sure how thick the bunny ears are but if possible try to secure them in place by carefully drilling into both the bunny ears and where you want the holes to line up on the head. Then cut a short piece of wire to place inside the holes. Once you decide to glue them on the wire will give the connection additional strength.

Also, check out some of the WHBF range for alternate heads.

Good luck

my reccomendation is to cut farter away, slowly whittle down towards the helmet, and then gently, ever so gently with a file, file it smooth. You can touch it all up with GS afterwards.

This is only tangentially related, but the Skullcrusher heads (fantasy kit) are pretty similar in scale and have 6 helms/box. If you know someone that got some for WoC, or want to grab a box to make a juggernaut lord (so much easier than with a bloodcrusher), that's an option. I just made an entire squad of berzerkers with said helms.

Incidentally, I think the most stable way to 'switch' the ears might actually be to cut the face off flush with the ears and cut the other helm to replace it. If you want both helms intact you probably will need to cut the ears off just short of the helm and then file them down to fit.

It would be extremely fiddly to do. Another solution would be to cut off the front half off a zerker helmet (cut right in front of the 'ears') and replace with the front half from another helmet? Still fiddly, but much less so...

Hmmm might have to try that out. With the cutting the front helm off then greenstuffin it together. I have the forgeworld ones. It I hate 2 of the heads and want to replace those two withones that are different enough from the norm zerkers.

Yeah I think that makes a lot more sense, if you cut the ears off and stick them to something else you will likely end up with them being really hard to get straight.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

if you really only want variation in the heads...... ask for them from the online community on dakka. If people charge you more than letter-mail for sending you 5 0f their spare 200 space marine helmets......................

you might tryjust filing down the bunny ears on the helmet then, so that they have no detail on them, then take another file, cut notches in, and then go back in with green stuff to re-detail the surface of the ears. try replacing with horns. or best yet. do marines with bare heads and butchers' nails

Automatically Appended Next Post:
another thing I've tried in the past (takes plannning patience and careful cutting and filing) is mix and match the helmet faces. Taking the face off of a tyranid gaunt and swapping it onto a marine helm can look damn good if done right, it just takes skill to align it *just* right....

In all honesty I got a bunch of heads just want to be able to use them as zerker heads. And I refuse to field a non helmed space marine. I'm sorry but you been alive for how long and survived how many battles to be dumb enough to not where a helm in the middle of a battle.

I'm curious. Do you have any images?
Certainly sounds like something I might consider doing providing it's as awesome as you say

I'm not sure i do, though I may give it another go. I have a day off tomorrow, I may just incidentally happen to perhaps get around to maybe create one and post it.
