Now that Azrael's Watcher in the Dark still has no effect in the game, would anyone have a problem with using the Dark Vengeance Chapter Master as an Azrael model? I like the look of it, and I already have a Chapter Master for my Dark Angels. Any forseeable issues?

The watcher is completely ignored for game purposes, so yeah, I see no reason you couldn't just have Azrael wearing his own darn helmet...

Yeah, the watcher doesn't actually exist so go nuts.

Plus you can always make your own one, since it's ignored for gameplay purposes you can make it look pretty much however you want. Gandalf, mind holding this helmet for a while?

I'm doing the same but actually giving him a hooded head and still using the Watcher, inspired by the picture on page 7 of the codex, he makes a good Azrael.

That said I agree with the others, I don't think anyone is going to complain that you didn't put a meaningless watcher token on the board, worst case scenario, make up the Perfidious Relic token from the Deathwing box and use that if anyone tries to kick up a stink IMO.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Why would you want to lose the Watcher? How many other xenos-hating, grimdark Astartes chapters have little robed Jawas running around fetching stuff for them?

Because it's an extra model that you have to move around with the unit for no real reason aside from looking cool?

I'm not using the regular model.

...but the jawa comment makes me wonder about a proxy model for the creepy little dude...

The DV captain is pretty much sculpted as a "not-Azrael" (much like the libby is a "not-Ezekiel" and the termy sarge is a "not-Belial"). They have all of the exact same wargear sculpted on them, so it's more or less GW giving you the thumbs up on it.
