Dear guys,

I am a new player wanting to branch out of 40k.

Just bought a Kirai boxed set and as I was thinking about what to buy next, I found that most of the tipical spirits (seishin, gaki, shikome, etc) are out of stock on most suppliers in the UK.

Is any one else feeling this? has this been happening for a while? Or is it just a single random event?

Also, on the same note, I was thinking about an alternative "easier and cheaper" crew - in the sense of avoiding yet more essential extra purchases to start playing - to start on the side, while I wait for the models to become available.
What should I get? Should I wait for the new ressurectionist box set - the relic old guy - can't remember the name?

Any help?

It sucks that the other models are out of stock, as Kirai is a master that needs more than her boxed set to play.

Over here in the States there is no problem getting those models. I suspect that they will be back in stock there soon. In the mean time I would just proxy them.

In terms of a recommendation of what to buy, the general consensus is

2 blisters of Seishin (so that you have a total of 5 models)
1 or 2 Shikome
1 or 2 blisters of Gaki
Lost love

You can get most of those models from Wyrd's store, the only Kirai box not available is Kira's starter, but that's okay since you have it.

If you're looking for other ressers, I would suggest McMourning's box, 4 to 6 canine remains (come in blisters of 2), and a second Flesh Construct or a Rogue Necromancy. His box is solid, and deals with body party counters, and Sebastian loves him some dogs, and you could get a bunch of activations all at once.

Edit: Also, Masters of the Path (Yan Lo's box) should be out and available to your FLGS in the next few days, it won't show up on Wyrd's site till March.

It depends on where you order your models from, I use Wayland a fair amount and typically they make an order every 3-4 weeks so your models can take up to 6-8 weeks to arrive.

Personally in situations like this I order from Wyrds website, I have managed to get a Miss Pack (Nurse Model) and a Miss Demeaner (Desperate Merc) thrown in with my models a few times (No models were actually missing however)

The Shikome and Gaki are particularly useful for summonings. If you are playing friendly games, proxy the extra seishin you'll create, you should be fine.

It's a DCM experiment to try and see how much we spend in a year to curb our spending, or to truly put our hobby into perspective... I'm sure I spent at least 3 grand in 2012. To give some perspective on this... I paid off roughly 3000 dollars on my car loan in 2012 as well...

miss pack is only when they mispack your stuff? I saw one at the store the other day... and they are getting rid of all their Wyrd stuff, should I jump on it?

Make sure it's not just a Nurse, but yes Miss Pack was mostly when they well... mispacked your stuff

I've never gotten a freebie from Wyrd with the exception of my Henchmen shirt lol.

That does remind me, I do need to paint up Sue, he's been primed for a good long while.
