Subject: challenge in second turn of combat with new characters charging question

Hi,
I was to face Daemon with wings , black mace, power armour, Tzeentch version. That's one CC killing machine.
In my list I had Wraithguard with Spiritseer and Eldrad, also Wraithlord and Avatar.
tactic that I was thinking of is to have both Avatar and Wraithlord behind Wraithguard, force him to charge Wraithguard, issue a challenge with Spiritseer to prevent from killing most of my unit, and in next turn multicharge with both Avatar and WL.
Here is a question
Assuming he will kill Spirtseer in first combat turn, can he issue a second challenge when I multicharge him? if so can he pick Avatar or Wraithlord, or does it have to be against initial unit of WraithGuard containing Eldrad? From my perspective it would be best not to have challenge at all so that Eldrad, Avatar and WL could attack... What do you think?

Yes, if you don't issue a challenge, he can issue one.
And you can always choose which eligible character accepts the challenge, your opponent as absolutely no say in that and vice versa.
It is only when you decline a challenge opponent can decide which eligible model doesn't fight.

thx
so that means that if I decline a challenge, let's say he choose Wraithlord, he can't issue another challenge and my Wraithguard, Eldrad and Avatar can hit him freely? that's assuming that Wraithlord is not in btb right? Or he wouldn't be able to decline correct?

Your opponent picks his challenger. He yells in a deep voice "I challenge thee, gak-eater!"
Now you can decide which of your characters in the battle will take the challenge.
If you decide NOT to take the challenge, your opponent instead chooses one of your characters that cowers in the back of your unit, doing nothing that turn.
After that, challenges for that combat and turn are over. Everyone else can hit like normal.
(PS: I didn't actually say "gak," I used a harsher word, but it got filtered. You're a smart person, I think you can figure it out.)

Also remember that the model who accepts the challenge must be engaged when challenges are issued.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Also remember that if your Wraithlord is in challenge with the Daemon and no other enemies are around, every unit you have in the challenge are stuck and can't hit the Daemon, but can be cheerleadering around and every 5 models stuck watching the carnage you can re-roll a single dice (be it to hit, to wound or to save).
Starting the second turn of challenge you could try to have your Avatar take over the Wraithlord and benefit from WS 10 and some rerollable 4++ saves

yes yes,
But my plan is to hit him with everything I can, so 1 out of 3 characters are out but then the remaining 2 and Wraithguard can muster lot's of attacks
