Just a random thought more than a proposed rule, but I keep mulling over my head the flechette launchers on the Tau vehicles. I know they are defensive weapons for when the vehicles are assaulted, but I always wondered why if mounted on one of the tanks, why they couldn't be used as an offensive weapon when performing a tank shock on an infantry unit. You know, for those times when just forcing a morale check on a unit isn't enough.

The hit from the FD only comes when the model tries to strike a blow, so only someone trying to Death or Glory with a close combat attack would trigger the FD.

Yeah, I understand the Death and Glory rule would set them off, but I think it would be a neat offensive weapon in desperate times.

I suspect you will be able to trigger them manually when the new codex comes out. If they are still in the book.
