Tried using the search function, but couldn't find this.

Chaos space marines can have Veterans of the Long War which gives them Hatred (Space Marines). As in some cases Space Marines include all the sub-codeci as well and in some it does not. So I was wondering if there is a RAW consensus on this or not. So my question is, is it:

Hatred (Space Marines)
or
Hatred (Space Marines; including Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Black Templar, Grey Knights, Space Wolves)

Thanks in advance.

Ps. If this has been discussed in another topic to please link me too it.

The plural is codices.
Secondly look at the designers note on page 28 that lets you know what (Space Marines) refers to.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

Veterans of the Long War instructs you to see the Designer note on page 28 of the codex.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Do you really want to trust GW for their spelling and grammar? :p

It really doesn't matter. Just like Cactuses and Cacti are both accepted plurals of Cactus, Codexes and Codices are both accepted plurals of Codex.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Codexes is ok. Codeci sounds like an attempt at a plural for a latin word, if you are going to use the latin plural then it's codices.

TBH we answered him and he found the answer. We also did it so that he now knows where to look next time he is unsure.
