Hey guys so I hit a big slump in my painting routine, I used to paint a few times a week.

So far I got about half my minis fully painted, once I get passed the magical wash phase I hit a wall...

anyways here are some pictures of Space Wolves Works In Progress

Comments appreciated!

Space Wolves with Wolf Standard made from Space Wolves Pack bits and Space Marine Tactical bits. The standards with the Wolf on it can also go for Mark of the Wulfen in my book. Notice the bullet holes in the banners, just drill and make crude hole bigger with xacto blade.

old school long fangs. blocked a little bit but not washed yet... The old school Devastators had the lamest left arms so I had to convert them to hold ammo or whatnot.

I read a whole lot about converting Pre Heresy Space Wolves from Chaos Warriors bitz. This is what that is, my first HQ Rune Priest. I really don't like the conversion, the arms look very short and basically kinda stiff/lameass. I don't recommend going whole hog on Chaos Warriors bits to make Space Wolves. Maybe it's just the way I put him in position, but I still really don't like it much. I can't bring myself to try the lighting bolts on the runic axe...

This is what I'm talking about! I still can't paint him yet b/c i'm in a painting slump-but who isn't... This guy reminds me that 6th edition lets a single mini in each squad toss a grenade...
