1000 points exactly. This list is to get me into the hobby, hopefully with a few wins under my belt. Game plan obviously includes the libby with one assault squad and the SP with the other. Fire away.

Quite a nice list, similar to my starting blood angels list.

Couple of questions, dreadnought are you using blood talons or blood fists? And have you considered dropping scouts and predator for a devastator squad for the same points you could have two lascannons and two missle launchers or four missle launchers/multi-meltas/heavy bolters and have a spare 30 points.

With regards to psychic powers I would consider trading one out for smite as at 1000 points most of what you kill will be standard men.

Also make sure if the librarian and priest aren't in the same squad that the librarian's squad is within 6" can't tell you the amount of times FNP has saved me.

Other than that happy gaming and let me know how you fair

Ask me a rule once and I will answer, ask me three times and I will railgun you

Like Mallik7 said it is a great starting list, 2 Assault squads are really the core of a BA army, especially at 1000 points.

And have you considered dropping scouts and predator

The reason he suggested this is because these two units don't seem to be coherent with your army at the moment, and it's a shame to invest so much time and money on these units and then realise actually you don't really want them, or that they aren't really being effective at this points range.

If you like the idea of a predator, an alternative could be to drop the scouts, drop the standard predator, and drop the dreadnought. Then take 2 Baal predators, and if you change 1 PF from the assault squads to a PS you could also field an extra Priest so that both of your units have one. - Just an idea. The reason I say this is because from watching other people play dreadnoughts, they seem to be so much more effective if you can drop 2 down together instead of just having a single dread in your list.

Nice list. I agree with the comments re: switching the Pred for a Dec Squad.

I'd also drop the fists on the sgts for power weapons. Give the priest a PW as he's bs 5 so you might as well make the most of it.

nice list, but i would drop the scout for anything else. But that is just my personal opinion.

A better, similar list would be something like the following:

Hq:
Librarian w/ Jump pack, Unleash rage and Shield of Sanguinius: 125

Elites:
Priest w/ Jump pack, Power Weapon: 90

Furioso w/ Frag cannon, Heavy Flamer, Drop pod: 170

Troops:
Assault Squad (10) w/ 2x melta, Powersword: 225

Assault Squad (10) w/ 2x melta, Powersword: 225

Heavy:
Devastator Squad (7) w/ 4x Missile Launcher: 162

That's 997 points, and the devastators get some ablative shielding in the form of two extra bodies. The priest has a powersword to benefit from his Ws5, and the librarian has Unleash rage, which is good, and Shield, which is also good. And, since he can cast one power per player turn, he gets to cast rage on your turn and shield on your opponents. If your local meta is xeno/guard heavy, power mauls on the sergeants would be better, if it is meq heavy, power swords.

Good luck, and have fun.
