TL;DR - What heavy choices would you run and why?

I have recently played in a FLGS Tourny and placed 4th out of roughly 16 players.
The first and only game I lost was to another Nids player, our lists were almost identical, but I lost due to the fact that I forgot Smash attacks Instand Kill Doom of Malan'tai. I simply forgot Melee attacks caused it, and thought in my head, only shooting effected ID.

Both are lists ran similarily except for our Heavy Choices:

2 Flyrants
2 Tervigons
20 Gants
2 Zoanthropes
1 Doom

My army:
3 Dakkafexes in pods

His army:
3 Mawlocs
5 Ygmarl Genestealers (Elite Choice)

I absolutely crushed his army and killed both Mommas on Turn 2 even through Endurance. 60 TL S6 shots. Something a Mawloc could never do (maybe on Turn 3 he could do return damage, but that's 2 shooting phases for the Carnifex). I lost simply because all of my Mommas and 1 Flyrant had to take leadership and Shadows of the Warp tests almost the entire game cause I, as mentioned above, forgot I could Smash him to death with 1 hit. I must have done over 10 wounds to him with normal attacks from the Tervigons. (facepalm).

Long story, short:
What heavy choices would you run and why?

EDIT: I forgot about his Ymgarls that evens out our list!

Oye, this is a though choise.

I would probably runn the dakkafexes since your army can try to dominate one side of the board witha reverced flank of S6 guns. Not many armies can punch out 60 S6 attacks with re-rolls to hit.

However, his list would probably do mutch better against a parking lot style army where the mawlocks can make his special pop up attack hit more then one vehicle when it comes into play.

Both of those lists are very different then what I usualy run as I often do not use my heavy suport slot. I usually run with fast attack instead.

I go with different Heavies in each slot, for versatility.

Different heavies in each slot leave you vulnerable to Focus Fire. If they are afriad of your Biovores or Mawlocs more than your Carnifex because they are running horde lists, then they will kill them faster. IMO
