So in 5th they weren't that good, how are they in 6th now? Are lootas WAYYYYY better? Is Badrukk worth it if i have them?

Waste of points.

A fully kitted out Flash Gitz costs about the same as ~30 lootas. And does far, far less.

But no one know what to do against them so you'll surprise them.

I want to test them out, but the league I plan on joining is WYSIWYG and I'm too lazy/poor to model them.

I considered Gits this edition for anti-flyer. For 35 points you get a T4 S6 Assault 2 Gun, which could cause some trouble.

Of course, a squad of 5 costs 175 points and is still Ld7.

So, I finally decided to use Lootas instead (8-24 S7 Shots for 120 points from a squad that starts off as Ld8).

Shoot them with Psybolt AC Dreads.

S8 AP4, bypasses their armor save and their FNP save if they have one and Instant death, so 1 wound.

Alternatively, assault them with TH/SS Terms.

If you have none of the above you could just ignore them. The worst course of action would be to shoot them at all, since most of their points value is defensive (e.g. feel no pain, 2 wounds, 'eavy Armor), and they underperform in shooting point-for-point compared to both Lootas and Shoota Boyz. Shoota Boyz do way more damage in shooting model for model, at least as far as mathhamer is concerned.

I have enjoyed using them - ignoring cover saves is quite fun and they are not that bad in Close Combat.

Likely not optimal but thats not always what the games about.....

+1

My Orky buddy can converted a full squad of them and while they're a pts sink, they're still good fun and almost always manage to do something. I'd avoid the upgrade that makes them into 'Gets Hot' weapons however.
While they are currently over-costed, keep in mind that the unit are still Nobz and thus, if your opponent doesn't have alot of S8+ weapons, they can really absorb the punishment! Plus, you can add a Painboy if you really feel the need, though it does cost you a gun.

I always find them a fun unit to play against, and it's utterly halarious when you run into the token MEQ donkeycave who then whines and b***** about how you rolled a 1 for ap and made their shiny super 2+ save unit explode into a pink mist!

#1 Orks should always be in cover. And a few people will see them on the field and say, "Why would I shoot them they suck." And proceed to shoot at a 15 Boy Loota squad.

#2 Assaulting with Termies is a bad idea. If the Flash Gits got AP1 or 2(fully upgraded happens 50% of the time), you are risking a lot.

Say 5 Gits vs 5 Termies. Lets say the termies wind up in range of the Snazzgun, BS2 might get you 3-4 shots, but Wound on 2's. With AP1 the Termies are forced to use Invul saves after that maybe 2 Termies dead out of the original 5.

If Termies got the first shots off. Flash Gits are wounded on 4+'s, and still get armor saves. Thats 3-4 shots missed out of 10(6 or 7 hit). Then 4+ to wound which results in about 3-4 then you have a 4+ armor save by the Flash Git. That is maybe 2 Wounds. Flash Gits are Nobs. You kill one nob.

Note: this is bare bones Termies vs Fully Suited up Flash Gits. Termies are equipped with Storm Bolters.

I said TH/SS specifically. A unit of TH/SS is built for assault.

But even with regular Terminators, they have absolutely nothing to fear from assaulting Flash Gitz... they wouldn't just win in combat, they would butcher the entire unit of Gitz in one phase of combat.

So you're saying they would be threatened by overwatch? If they were fully upgraded and firing overwatch on a unit of regular Terminators,

[(.16*.83*.66*.5*2) + (.16*.83*.16*.5*2)]

[(.87) + (.2)] = .107

Each model would cause on average one tenth of a Terminator model loss per overwatch. Double that for regular shooting. Cut it roughly in half for TH/SS Terminators.

That is nothing. From a 40 point model specialized in shooting.
