Can't decide which one I want to run in my DA army, chaplain or librarian. Could use some help and some opinions. So lets hear them.

Libby. Your primarus is almost as good as your chappy's ability, your free weapon is way better, and master 2 in divination can break a game wide open.

Only exception to Libby I can think of is an Int-Chap in TDA coming in with DW, maybe. Otherwise, Libby, especially if you're gonna bike him with RW. A play a ton of RW and a Libby with BK and GLx3 is a must take for me.

Libby. No contest. The Librarian is a huge force multiplier and can be used from turn one to buff your troops. The chaplain gives you some interesting special rules and rerolls on the first round of close combat. Nowhere near as useful. If you're going competitive, Librarian. Fluffy? Give the chappy a shot.

Yes, but Chaplain has as skull mask! I'd take Chaplain.

Depends on the unit you want to put him in, dark angel chaplains have an advantage over othes in that it does not matter who charged, you still get to re roll to hit in the 1st round of combat, I like to combine this with the counter attack banner, it's pretty useful, the chaplain is also str 6 and can mash most things in a challenge, I sometime like to take a power fist on mine for general utility purposes.

The liby has the option of several different weapons, which is.nice, he can also use divination to buff.his unit to be similar to the chaplain, but with a chance of perils or being nullified, I like the certainty of having re rolls, rather than a slim chance of.not getting them.

Model wise: The Chaplain looks cooler.

Rules wise: The LIbrarian will buff your DA units much more than a chaplain will.

Fluff wise: What's the back ground for your DA army?

Spoken like a true BT. No arguements, Chaplains are my favorite generic HQ in the game (a Space Chaplain who will mash your skull in with righteous furry... what's not to like?)

That being said, making your foe reroll all saves, giving a squad an invuln, rerolls to hit for a turn, full ballistic skill overwatches and counter-attack, reroll reserves, ignore cover, super boost for the Libby.... take 2. Not too shabby.

Whatever you name him, always put his name in full caps on your army roster!

Thanks for all the advice. Just started play DA but A Libby on a bike sounds badass. Haven't decided if I want to run DW or RW. I need to try both but leaning towards DW.
