I have a few questions re: Breath weapons.

1. At what Initiative is the breath weapon used in combat? I would assume it is the same as the model using it.
2. If using a breath weapon in combat, can the model attack as normal as well that turn?
3. If the breath weapon is supplied by a magic item (i.e. Dragonhide Banner) is it still at the initiative of the model carrying it?
4. If using a breath weapon in the shooting phase can the model (i.e. Firebelly in this case) march and still use it or is it restricted to only moving normally like other shooting attacks?

Thanks!

1) Its used at the model's initiative step.
2) Yes
3) Yes
4) I believe if you march it cannot be used.

Thanks Mixer, that was the answer I was looking for.

Shame about the breath weapons striking at Initiative (kinda makes the Dragonhide banner useless for the ASL breath weapon effect unless it carries on to the next turn?).

er.......................it does.

the banner breath weapon makes the target strike last in the NEXT round of combat.

CORRECTION
You can march and reform and still use a breath weapon. There is a special section in the rulebook that has all the RULES in it. One of the subsections is called Breath Weapons
Page 67 I believe, but it will go over all the stipulations and rules for using a breath weapon in the game

Sorry, that came across a little sarcastic, but it literally answers every question you have almost in the exact order you asked them in 3 short paragraphs. I also has some other useful info about using breath weapons.

OK thanks. I didn't have the rules with me when I typed this and I am too impatient to wait until I got home!
