So I was looking through the DA Codex and came upon these vehicles. Now I run Chaos and my friend is DA. These things are so much better than Chaos Land Raider. The weaponry just seems over powered, plus the ability to carry 16 and 12 models. This is crazy. I haven't played against it yet, but I haven't defeated my friend yet and he hasn't even used this yet. I myself just picked up a Land Raider and Forge/Mauler Fiend. I have have to get my second Defiler glued and painted. I know he picked up a Land Raider, just not sure which he will use it as. This does not look good for my Chaos.

Anyone have any suggestions or pointers on how to handle this. I know its just one vehicle, but still....

Well most lists use melta or MC with smash. Don't CSM have access to both?

Now the trick is that if said landraider is filled with assault terminators, they can still assault you after you crater the LR. So ideally you want to crack the LR with melta, and have something to at least whittle down the terminators before they assault. LRs really cut down on enemy model count, but they are messy to deal with.
