Want to look for local tournements coming up, but i end up having to type random local towns to see if they have been mentioned recently. No luck. Any one got any tips?

This forum was never really intended as a place to find tournaments, just for general discussion of tournament gaming. So no, there's nothing built in to filter by region.

Your best bet is to visit a dedicated listings site that allows you to filter the listings by location like my site (see website link in my signature or the link in my profile)

It would be helpful if everyone would put the town/country/whatever in the title of their original post, instead of the name for their local gamestore/tournament/whatever.

Some do, but not everyone.

Look at that original post in that thread. There is a link to a website which will probably tell you the location, but so what? In that post and title, there isn't a single mention of the city, state, or even country that this will occur. The OP's American flag is the only clue that it's at least in North America. Somewhere. Maybe. If you're going to post here, put the location, please.

I had wondered the same thing about sorting. Maybe that should be added to the feature request thread if it hasn't been already. I think it would be really useful tool to help see what's coming up in a person's local area.

I'd advise anyone interested in tracking local events to either make a free forum and encourage local players and LGSs to make use of it or to make a Facebook group.
