I went head to head against Space Puppies in an Emperor´s Will -mission, 1750p. I got the FB from a blown up Landraider (for the love of God, i can´t believe, that the tlBL worked!!!). I had IG -allies and my friend had the Quad-gun (and controlled the whole table) , so i had to be careful and flew the Vendetta towards his objective taking shots to the Quad-Gun. Marbo worked for once blowing up few dudes from his troop holding his objective before getting blown away. Hornet and Walkers outflanked and spanked his troop away and cut down a Longfang-squad also. His push to my objective saw Eldrad dying and one DA-troop. Also the Grey hunters? (basic troop) killed my IG Veterans and one Hornet. He had my objective + Slay the Warlord + Line Breaker and i had his objective + First Blood + Line Breaker = DRAW
Time got thin in the end, he could have won, but we had to quit in the turn 6. I was happy (again) to the WW´s and the Hornets (had one with Pulse Lasers and one with Scatter Lasers), but i noticed, that three will give that extra pressure, two got maybe little too little made in this game? Eldrad was Fortuned and still managed to fail loads of saves, but killed Lone Wolf any ways. Now i´m done trying the IG -allies, one win, one defeat and one draw, hmm, make an assumption out of that . I loved the Vendetta and the Veterans dropped from it, but the 5+ save and T3 is like Guardians all over again, but the three Meltaguns is cool. Chimera, meh, ok, but did little in every game. Damn it, why doesn´t any one in my club have Tau? What shall i try next as allies? SW, BA´s,GK? I don´t want to try Orks or Necrons (although,hmmm) ...gimme ideas please!

Try Eldar again, but GJB instead.
Grab a squad or two of them, and a Farseer for Doom or Fortune.

Or, try the IG team again, with the Carapace upgrade on the vets. 4+ save, up from 5+.

Eldar is my main army, and i know good list or two, i´m trying different allies just to keep my friends on their toes...

DA maybe. I can't remember if they can ally or not. But Ravenwing should be plenty fast enough to keep up.

My club has players with : Grey Knights, Blood Angels, Necrons, Orks, Space Wolves, Chaos, Daemons, IG...now i tried the IG and it fares well, but what´s next?

I read your OP wrong then. Oops.

As for allies for Eldar, we're usually short of proper meatshields.
IG are just as squashy, so look at SM or other power armour, maybe.
Necrons are resilient, and have options that Eldar don't (flyers).

Yep, i love Grey Knight Assassin, but i have to take few "useless" dudes to get it...maybe the Grandmaster or whatnot who makes Terminators troops...

Your army looks cool with the camo green look, i painted three Hornets a month ago and was thinking WWII color scheme (fe. English Spitfire), but went for the black/orange look...

Once a new Eldar codex comes out I will be moving my GKs to allies for them. I have some fun stuff worked out synergy wise that I plan to use, mostly with vindicare assassins and the few units of eldar that have armor ignore on weapons that don't get unweildy for killing tough units with 2+ armor and nice invulnerable saves.

From the sound of it you are playing along with other players as your allies?

Actually, i use the armies that are not in play that day . IG player has the most hectic work schedule, so he can play only so often. I play most of my games against GK/BA or Necrons, Orks, Nids, CSM/Daemons. Basically against the later armies, GK allies is next and against GK/BA, maybe Space Wolves?
