Considering Games Workshop has only released one Cryptek model, and many people have converted their own as a result, I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to converted Crypteks. That way, people can not only share their own conversions and give feedback to others, but people can also get inspiration for their own Cryptek conversions. Hopefully this thread won't just be passed over, I'm banking on there being enough conversions by now to create a decent thread

When posting your models, they need not be painted*, but should be built at least. Please also include the kits you used to build them, and you can add a description if you like (as short or long as you wish).

I'll start with these two Crypteks I built (*their paint job is pretty amateur):

Kits Used:
  • Necron Immortals / Deathmarks
  • Necron Lychguard / Triarch Praetorians
  • Necron Catacomb Command Barge / Annihilation Barge
  • Necron Destroyer Lord Upgrade Pack

  • These Crypteks are mainly built on Lychgaurd/Overlord bodies, but include a couple of parts from different kits. To create more dynamic poses (the Overlord wasn't enough for me), I cut and repositioned the limbs. This wasn't too hard compared to models such as Space Marines with more human parts, but unfortunately does mean that the right Cryptek is rather flimsy. In addition, his left arm is in three parts as the centre section is from the Destroyer Lord, which is actually his right arm.

So, what do you think? And I look forward to seeing conversions by other people too.

Actually, GW has released 3 Cryptek models, two of them named characters:

Good start for conversions are these by Puppet's War (more to follow after reworking):

Ah yes, but I was more referring to non-special characters. I didn't know about those Puppet's War models though, thank you for posting that.
