Was checking out the points cost/rules for the Storm Talon and realising just how badly it outclasses the Nephilim

TL HB with option to be upgraded for a number of options

So for 70points more the Nephilim gets 6 mediocre/bad missiles and can count wep destroyed as immobalised.
But loses hover, ceramite plating and escort craft.

Does this sound dumb to anyone else?
Just looking at the rules the Nephilim should either cost the same or cost less than the Storm Talon yet it costs 70 points more?

Yes. The Nephilim is GW's cruel joke for DA players. There is no reason to even consider using one.

Also, just to make it even worse, this is an Avenger strike fighter LINK. It has an avenger bolt cannon. It has more shots and AP 3. It has better armor. It costs fewer points. You may now cry.

S 6 missiles and TL HB are the true stupidity. The Nephilim interceptor rule is a cruel joke when only one weapon system is potentially going to make use of it.

Oh yeah, I forgot the worst part: the Avenger, which is what the Nephilim wishes it could be, is just one of many neglected IG flyers sitting on the "not as good as a Vendetta, never going to use it" pile. Isn't it nice to know that the best your chapter can do, armed with the unimaginable lost technology, is produce a fighter that even the most desperate IG commander wouldn't touch with someone else's ten foot pole?
