If a model has an invulnerable save-granting wargear that is shared to other models (such as a Power Field Generator) and suffers a wound from shield-breaker; do other models still benefit from the wargear?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

A good question! The shield breaker rules seem to imply that only the model wounded would no longer get a save, the rest of the unit would continue to benefit. Crazy as that sounds.

When the invun,in your example, the DA power field is destroyed by the shield breaker, other models will lose the invun as well.

You cannot benefit from an invun that has been destroyed.

I dont have my gk codex infront of my, but doesnt it say

something like "the model hit by a sheild breaker loses any invulnerable granted by wargear"

or does it say the wargear stops working?

My problem is I don't have access to the codex to read the relevant rule right now, but some buddies were discussing it and mentioned the model loses the wargear, so for example, a model in terminator armour (which provides a 5+ invuln save) would lose their terminator armour.

isnt KFF a cover save?

as opposed to losing cover saves granted by wargear,

I could be wrong, dont have the codex in front of me

We're not talking KFF (which is a cover save). It's more for DA right now then anything else. Not sure if any other armies have wargear that grants invulnerable saves to other models.

ill check my gk codex when i get home, this is a good point to bring up,

Im 99% sure that the model only loses the ++ due to wargear, not any other benifits of it

Only the model loses the save.

I just read it again, and there is no pertinent information that DeathReaper left out. It doesn't, in this case, make a whole lot of sense, but only the model would lose the save, even if they're the one holding the wargear that gives the save to everyone else.
