It bothers me o no end that everytime theres a new release the gw site will make these nice little one click away bundles. This would be cool and all but you save no money whatsoever. Its just a waste of some programmers time. Im not sure why it bother me so bad but everytime i see it i lash out at my comp as id gw could hear it and furthermore care. Is this just me ?

It's a ploy to get you to spend more money then you would normally. Some people will see it and say "oh cool!" and buy it, but may never have considered buying all the models individually.

It just infuriates me. I will never order from their site. There is just no benefit. All the local shops in my area will givea 20 to 25 percent discount and free shipping so the website is really just a catalog for me to see what im going to dedicate my
next paycheck to

They don't assume we can't shop online...they recently lowered the retail distributor discount by 2%...they're slowly eating away at their profits so as to make them obsolete.

(Looks at the thread topic) Must be Thursday, I need to put my trash out.

How dare a company provide bundles of items without discounts??? RAWR.

See you guys here for the same thread next week?

On a side note its pretty easy to qualify for the gw free shipping due to the steady price hikes from year to year. 50 dollars adds up way to fast

If it bothers you that much, ignore it. Honestly. GW isn't forcing a gun to your head and making you look at this stuff/buy it.

Bad business practice or not, it's really really easy to ignore this kind of stuff. It's a gimmicky idea, that serves no real purpose. I honestly think at this point that people will hate on EVERYTHING GW does at this point, just because it's cool to hate GW now.

I dont really hate gw, i am a true believer in their product, love the models, the deep world they have created , and even most editions of the game. Its just an annoyance but hey i might not order from the site but they are still getting my meager wages regularly.

No, really?!

GW is a business first and foremost. They aren't going to give discounts out until big events, i.e. Christmas, where they know that discounts will actually get them more sales to justify the hit to their revenue.

People still buy models from GW, all they've done is, as others have said, picked up on the compulsion that when we see things together we assume it's better. Businesses aren't blind to human psychology.

I only order from them when it is an exclusive item that must be ordered from them, I also never order less than $50. I use miniaturemarket.com to order if they carry it because they have a huge discount on the models. SO much cheaper.

I honestly think the bundles are silly, at first glance when I saw the first one I thought "that looks more expensive than buying them individually".

Actually the guy who creates these bundles for the website is just really bad at maths, and you guys are really starting to hurt his feelings. :(

Try doing that on a forgeworld order that isn't a super heavy... Seriously, £250 for free shipping?? That's almost $400 US. I mean I get that for a long time they only did pitas and such but with the HH stuff getting churned out you would think they might lower the threshold a bit.

Oh well, it's not going to stop me from ordering. It just means Im going to make a few big orders instead of more, smaller ones.
