Bunch of Zoanthropes for biomancy goodness and for a bit more synapse coverage (will be more important then you think potentially end game). They can also give your momma's a cover save in a pinch. And if you face landraider spam you can hold onto the book powers.
I'd have some sort of red herring unit (or units) that takes the focus away from the tervigons. Doom, mawlocs, tyrgon, ymargls, ravenors. Stall an opponent for even a turn from churning through your gants or taking out the tervigons and he could be in serious trouble..
Personally I think dropping one gaunt blob for a 3rd scoring tervigon will be better. Gives you some flexibility in placement of the tervigons throughout the game and with this many gants you will want more coverage of the progenitor boosts.
Good luck and report back.

I'd consider Venomthropes, for that extra cover. But winterman's got it mostly nailed, some extra stuff, preferably appearing where your opponent has to worry about it, is great for distracting your opponent and making sure that pile of gaunts gets nice and big.
Oh, and, in my opinion, Zoan Powers > Book Powers, especially if you play Marines a lot.

Zoanthropes and Venomthropes, like others are saying, would help protect your gaunts. Remember to take the Toxin Sacs and Adrenal Glands on your Tervigons if you're going to do a blob build, so that the blobs will be even more lethal.
Flyrant, Swarmlord or Tyrannofex would be good distractions, centerpiece models to tricks your opponent into shooting at while your buffed blobs approach. Hive Commander on a Hive Tyrant lets you Outflank a blob that comes in on a 2+ turn 2. You should try to think of a way to pop transports, too, so your blobs can eat the units inside.

Oh yeah; SM, its all i play against. My buddy will be trying his new flyer out; the 130 point IG one, and expecting me to play Sm as well, to bad I won't be.
I'm going to put so many units on the boards he's going to cry. I was thinking of running some fatties in front of the blobs to absorb ll the shots that I know will be incoming.
Nids has access to a LOT of T6 W6 creatures.

To beat the Imperial Guard Vendetta, you have to fly over it with a Hive Tyrant and shoot its rear armor, or drop a Carnifex behind it and shoot its rear armor. You could also just ignore it, if you have enough Tervigons with FNP. Just remember to keep them in cover with FNP turned on, so that it won't be able to deal more than one wound to them a turn.

Don't do it. You start off with nearly 200 models on the table and then spawn more. How long do you think the game is going to take?
Any more than 2-3 blobs of gants is enough, they aren't going to be killing much in the end and you need points for killing vehicles etc. Make tervigons troops and then go for flyrant as HQ. IG doesn't really like drop-pods so zoanthropes and Doom into the backfield.

It "sounds" awesome, but after about an hour and a half you've deployed and played one turn it becomes less fun ...

Give it a try but remember you will need to be conscientious of moving large units rapidly to keep things moving.

all of our games go slow, this is the least of my concerns. we're garage players.
i just need a way to support them. would term or horm -agaunts be preferable. i really like the bound abilty, i just need to be sure to get there asap.
