Hello, everyone! I've been playing 40k since I was in Jr. High (those were the third edition days). Over the years my interest in the hobby has waxed and waned several times. Sometimes I've almost dropped out of the hobby, other times I was more involved, but I never left it completely. As I've gotten older, I've become less focused on playing the game, and more focused on painting and modeling, but I've recently been feeling the call of battle, and have decided to get back into the fight! I think I'll dig my armies out of storage and head on over to Pair-A-Dice, my local gaming store, and teach those youngsters a thing or two! More likely, it will be the other way around! I haven’t even picked up a copy of 6th edition yet!

I've always been a casual gamer, and I enjoy narrative driven games, "historical" scenarios, and campaigns. Most of my games are with family members and friends. I've been pretty good at dragging people into the hobby. Even if they don't have their own armies, most of my friends know how to play the game! Besides, they can just borrow one of my armies! I currently have 1,500 pts, 1,500 pts, 1,000 pts, 1,500 pts, 1,000 pts, 1,000 pts, and 2,000 pts.

I've been to Dakka Dakka many times over the years. Sometimes for strategy tips, other times for modeling/painting tips. Sometimes while searching for fluff or crunch clarifications. I finally decided I should stop just reading the forums, and join in!
