It's barely better than a rattlecan - and the measure line on the pot was designed with the old foundation paints in mind. You have to calculate all the right mixes from scratch with the current lot of paints.

Would advise against the citadel spray gun. If you'll be in the hobby for a while and will paint a lot more troops, would be worthwhile to get a small air compressor and a decent airbrush.

Go check out the starter kits from everythingairbrush.co.uk.
I'm still using an AB-130. Will upgrade at some point to a H&S Evolution, but it's a passable brush to learn tricks with.

Yeah going to jump on the never touch that Spray Gun wagon.
I've progressed from a cheapo brush and compressor up to a H&S Infinity now. Love it to bits and so easy to maintain and clean.
Make sure you invest in a decent compressor if you go down this route too though. They go hand in hand and a cheapo compressor will die on you very fast and offer sporadic pressure changes as I have found out. (especially in the cold UK)
Everythingairbrush are great and Air-Craft.net are great for spares with next day delivery (I just so happen to have a new nozzle coming as I had a horrendous accident cleaning my 0.2mm one when it fell out of my hand and went under the hard heel of my shoe!)
The Spray Gun is barely passable for base coating a large area of models and it is essentially a 2 pound piece of kit with the Citadel logo stamped on it.
You will find mixed advice on the forums regarding Airbrushes. Personally, I wish I had not bothered with buying the cheap stuff and went straight for an Evo or an Infinity. You will not train any better on a cheap brush, you will just learn how the lower craftmanship models take you much longer to maintain and clean. The H&S brushes are a godsend, especially the trigger mechanism.

While I agree you might as well drop for a compressor, and a decent double action airbrush off the bat.
I got a deal from harbor freight which is basically a cheap chinese copy of a double action airbrush. They basically took several other quality designs, ripped them off, and jammed them in a single airbrush. At $20 it is unbeatable but you won't get super fine needles for it. The compressor has run for nearly a year under hard use and I have no complaints thus far.
If your looking for super simple for just base colors, vehicles, etc. My biggest beef with the GW sprayer is for $10 on amazon you can get a cheap can fed airbrush . I still have on of the old plastic Testors single action plastic airbrushes.

I personally used it for about 2 years. Strickly for base coating. Works fine regardless of reviews. You do need to get the ratios or paint to water down as the lines are not accurate!
Also the spray cans suck. Buy a compressor.
Adventually I just upgraded to an airbrush. Recommended.

They are alright for basecoating only. But when you get it you'll want to do more stuff and end up getting an airbrush anyway so just go for one first if you can. If not just get the gw one but as suggested use a compressor not the cans

Don't use it unless you're just going to use it for basecoats. And even then, you can get better ones for cheaper.
