I have to paint a quite a few models for an escalation league, I recently bought 2 kolinsky sable brushes from back 2 basix. Love the handle design since i have kids and it keeps the brushes from being ruined.
The problem is, the brushes came in and the tips aren't exactly pointed well. I tried to shape the brush, but not working well.
My old brush is wearing out pretty good and I have 7 days to complete the list (5 lootas, 1 warboss, and 6 nobs..then chaos marines with 11 models plus helldrake)
I've already contacted them in reguards to possibly getting them replaced, but in the event of a no, any good tips on getting that brush to actually shape into a tip I can actually use?

Have you tried washing and conditioning the brush yet? I've had some luck with that helping to reshape a brush head.

Keeping a tip can be helped with brush soaps like Masters (hair conditioner will work in a pinch too - though you want to be sure to wash that out before you paint with it as it can prevent paint from behaving nicely).
However, your brushes didn't come with a nice point...so you are already fighting a loosing battle. A good brush will be nicely pointed from the get go, if it isn't - that is often an indication of a defect in the manufacturing process, and generally can not be fixed.

This is the problem I'm more worried about. I already know of the master soap trick to keep the tip. I have a cheap masters touch brush that have kept the tip using this trick for a long time, but its wearing out. Just wondering if there are any others.
