This small force is the start of my eldar battle force. Let me know what you think of paint scheme. I thought the black and blue was pretty original. thanks
I like your painting style but I don't think the black looks very good here. They kinda look unfinished, like you've just left the black basecoat there and called it a day. In these pictures, it's very hard to make out any of the black detail at all.
I think perhaps some prominent highlighting or painting the faceplate a different colour would help.
"Oh, yours died on a cross? That's cool. My messiah is a 100 ton land battleship that crushes the souls of the unfaithful beneath it's holy treads. ALL HAIL THE CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT TRANSPORT!"
Lol, but seriously, I really like these. It may be a personal thing, but I think the black works really well for you here. I think that the light itself does all the shading you need, and while not adding detailing to the black gives it a very unnatural look, I think that adds to the alien appearance of your army. As it is, the black has a slick, biomechanical feel which is vaguely reminiscent of Alien and also evokes that early 2000's sci-fi feel, where everything was polished, smooth, and cold. (Think Matrix.) I think that look plays very well on an Eldar army.
It's a little hard to tell if the crests have any shading though. If there isn't any there, then a really quick dark wash will make that hair pop. (And a further drybrush of white will make it even better!) If you've already done the detailing on the crests and the light/camera/flash is just washing it out, then ignore this bit.

Yeah I highlighted the edges of the black helmets with codex grey but I think the camera really washed out the photos. I'll try to post some better ones, thanks for the comments
When you retake the pics, put them on plain white paper with a plain white paper backdrop. that way the models dont get lost in the 'busy' background you have going on (ie, old white dwarfs, lol)

Let me put it this way... gloss varnish with camera flash on a multi colored paper... Not great for judging paintjob... Eyes hurt... Ohh the pain.
You have a good clean paintjob but what the guys said about the black is correct. Pick another color. Other than that avoid gloss varnish and use a darker wash on blue.
Got milk?
All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...
Looks like the crests could use a wash to bring out the details.
