Hey guys, here is the 1850 Slaanesh list that I am working towards buliding. Its not the most competitive thing around, since I am avoiding the Mark of Nurgle, and don't really want to buy a Hell Drake, so shame on me! (170) Chaos Lord- Mark of Slaanesh, Veteran, Steed of Slaanesh, Sigil of Corruption, Power Fist, Lightning Claw (160) Sorcerer- Force Sword, Mark of Slaanesh, Veteran, Mastery Level 3, Spell Familiar, Aura of Dark Glory (124) 3 Terminators- Power Mauls, Mark of Slaanesh, 3 Combi Meltas (65) Mutilator- Mark of Slaanesh, Veteran (227) 6 Noise Marines- +5 CCW, Icon of Excess, Power Sword, Doom Siren : Rhino- Dirge Caster, Combi Melta (201) 6 Noise Marines- 4 Sonic Blasters, Blast Master : Rhino- Havoc Launcher (201) 6 Noise Marines- 4 Sonic Blasters, Blast Master : Rhino- Havoc Launcher (84) 12 Cultists- Mark of Slaanesh, 9 Auto Guns, Flamer (207) 6 Bikers- Mark of Slaanesh, 2 Melta Guns, Icon of Excess, Lightning Claw (201) 6 Raptors- Mark of Slaanesh, Veterans, 2 Melta Guns, Icon of Excess, Power Sword (70) Oblit (70) Oblit (70) Oblit Total: 1850 Chaos Lord outflanks with the Bikes. The Sorcerer will probably end up rolling on Pyromancy, as I think a lot of those spells are pretty fun- especially Fire Shield, and the Spontaneous Combustion. Sorcerer hangs out with the Doom Siren Noise Marine Squad, taking advantage of that Icon of Excess, and putting more pressure midfield. Fire Shield would be especially awesome, just roll up infront of my enemies, and rapid fire bolters and the doom siren into them, and reward them for charging with 2d6 hits from the Fire Shield, and overwatch from the doom siren! All told though, Telepathy would probably be the better choice most of the time. The Mutilator is just kinda there for laughs, Deep Strike it down in enemy territory and annoy them. It would probably just be better to tick one of the Oblit squads up to 2. I kinda want to mess around with him though, a bunch of chain fist attacks is not something you want wandering around your backfield. I also like running my Oblits solo, and if he does anything maybe he'll at least take some fire off of my Oblits. I really don't want to buy MoN for them all... but I may have to... t5 on a 2 wound model is indeed very powerful. In all seriousness though, I should replace the Mutilator with an Aegis line, and put my Noise Marine Rhinos behind it. Maybe even find the points for a Quad gun to help out against enemy fliers. I like Veterans of the Long War on units that aren't fearless. I also think its worth it on the HQs since it ramps up their damage output against the majority of enemies. A gamble I am willing to take. I also went melta heavy because I fear land raiders. Land Raiders have a scary assault range, and often pack a unit that I cannot stop in close combat. Quickly nuking a land raider is important to get those THSS terminators footslogging- where they are far less threatening to my army. The noise marines handle hordes and MEQ pretty well, cover ignoring sonic blasters, and doom sirens / masters for power armour is a solid combination, which is complimented by melta spam which punches heavy tanks, and 2+ armour. I have had some decent luck with a similar 1500 point list, granted not against super competitive armies. I am also totally drake bait, as I have no real anti air at all aside from the Obliterators and hoping against hope to peg something with a melta gun. Personally I think fliers are out of place in the way they were implemented into the game, so I have been avoiding using them- generally to my own detriment.

ah, yes. Daemon Allies. I have been holding off on allying in Daemons until the new codex drops. So it shouldn't be long now. I am uncertain I should count on Pavane being there. I think there is a big chance Mr. Kelly will remove it from the game or nerf it in some way, much the same as Lash is no more :( Assuming Fiends stay relatively the same, and also that daemons deploy regularly, would I be able to outflank them with my Lord? Also, unfortunately, I think the Fiend models are terrible, and expensive, so I certainly won't be getting any of those unless they get redone to not look aweful, and hopefully come in a set of at least 3... I do think the Seekers have nice models however, so I am far more inclined to take those. They also have a similar theme to the Lawn Mowers... Which brings me to my next point, unfortunately I think the Lawn Mowers look amazing so I want them. If I started Daemons I would need at LEAST one to put a Harold in. I also have a small voice in the back of my head telling me that they would maybe not be terrible alongside some Rhinos for target saturation... lol I guess it goes back to my first point though. I am 100% not going to invest (any more- I did buy a box of Demonettes for the bits, and a squad of 6 lesser daemons back in the 5th ed book) in Daemon Allies until the new book is out and I have some idea of what slaaneshi models I will want.
