I will son have a Trollblood warpack and a Dire troll mauler in my hands along with the trollbloods p3 formula set.

I'm a begginer in modelling so i have no idea how i could give this "ice troll" effect on them, my idea of an ice troll is just a ligther (ice like) blue. I was thinking on base coating them with white, then again that could be an extremely bad idea so i came here for help.

How would you paint "Ice trolls" with just the p3 formula set, red ink and vallejo white?

I hope i can get some help!

For the skin I would basecoat with a mix of trollblood base and bootstrap leather 5:1 then pure trollblood base then trollblood base and troll blood highlight 2:1 then 1:1 then pure trollblood highlight on the edges

Thanks for the reply! I'm not by any means an expert or a decent painter but aren't those colors a little dark?

If you check out the back of the Trollbloods book, there's a tutorial on painting the Whelps under the Winter Troll scheme.

1) Basecoat 50/50 Frostbite and Trollblood Base

2) Shade with Meridius Blue and Thornwood Green 50/50 along with the previous two colours (do it as a wash, use a flow improver if necessary)

3) Original basecoat from step 1. with Trollblood Highlight and Morrow White

4) A very light highlight to the 'underbelly' portions (palms, bottom of feet, stomach, check, neck, under chin) with more Morrow White

I figure you want them to look a little closer to how Privateer Press painted the Winter Troll and Rok, so this is a pretty good guideline. Pretty much you'll want to use colours like Trollblood Base, Underbelly Blue, Frostbite, and Morrow White.

The only problem is i only have the trollblood p3 formula set, some green and red ink, and vallejo white, black and green (sorry i don't remember the exact name of the colors). It's not that easy for me to get the paints beacuse no shop in my country sells these modelling paints or materials so i have to ship them and it can be very expensive.

If all you've got is the trollblood set, you're going to need to order more paint. Also, I assume your flag is incorrect then?
