Hey everyone!

My friend is trying to get into 40k. He loves da boyz but has no idea where to start. I was thinking of somewhere between 500-1000 points list to get him started. I play imperium so I have no idea where to go with Orks. If you guys could provide a good TAC list up to 1K as well as an order to buy them in it would be really appreciated!

Power Klaws provide easy TAC lists; because anything the boys can't kill, a PK can.

Smallest army in model size might be;

Warboss with PK
Nobz (or MegaNobz) as Troops with PKs
Couple of Boyz Squads with PKs in.
Trukks to carry them.

OR, take a Warboss and a Big Mek, stick a KFF or SAG onto the Mek, get some Meganobz Troops and a Deff Dread as troops. Great smaller armies to start with that can really screw up the competition.

Just remember that if you go the ultra-small route that the army can be tarpitted, so some Boyz will always help.
