So I am about to start my necron army, and am still debating on a colo scheme. I know nothing about the fluff for necrons so not sure if my color scheme would even make since. But I wanted to bounce some ideas around with other people.

I was thinking about doing gold for the lords and the vehicles. I wanted the gold to kinda signify their higher up ranks, and the vehicles reason is just to kinda fit in the color scheme more. However what I am left with is trying to decide a color for the basic troops and if I should paint the immortals the same color as the lords or troops. The two thoughts I have for the troops as of now is either keep them the dirty silver look, which would make them stand out from the rest of the army or a bronze. I worry the bronze would be too similar to the gold, it would unite the color scheme but do you think it would make them all look the same?

Next is what would be a good second color to use on the shoulder pads and what not. I was thinking blue but that's just because it makes me think of Egypt and pyramids when combined with the gold. I know for sure that I will be keeping the rods in the weapons green and doing a green glow in between the ribs. I was also thinking a turquoise would make a good second color.

In the necron fluff does color mean anything?

Paint the regular warriors as if they were rusting metal. i think that it could come out really cool.
