Please may I have some help / comments / critique. Apologies if this is not the sort of threat normally discussed, I couldn't find anything else near 3,000 points, so I hope I'm not offending.

After tabling an Imperial Guard army by T4, I've been challenged again, this time by Dante himself for a much bigger game. The only thing I know about the BA force is that they don't have access to terminator marines. This is a non-apoc game with possibility of a double FOC, although I've kept this list to single FOC, EnForces will be double. En forces likely to have IG battalion.

Here's my list which I would love some help with.

HQ 1075
Destroy Lord, WS, MSS, SW, RO
Overlord, WS, RO, PS, SW, TL
Despair, NS, VoD
2x Storm
4x Lord, WS, RO, MSS, PS

Elite 345
Deathmark x5, NS (with Despair & Overlord)
Triarch Stalker, Heat Ray

Troops 750
Warriors x 17 (w/ Lord)
Warriors x 17 (w/ Lord)
Warriors x 5 GA (w/ Lord)
Warriors x 5 GA (w/ Lord)

Fast Attack: 515
10x Scarabs
6x Wraiths, 3x whips (with DL)
Tomb Blades x5, TL gauss blasters

Heavy Support 240
2x Annihilation Barge, Gauss
Spyder

Total 2925

Firstly I know I'm very top heavy with HQ.

Other models I have:
Trazyn, Anrakyr, can convert NS to DS, 5x lych guard, 2x destroyers, CTan chard, 5x immortals. Main tactical disadvantage is wife who says I can not purchase more forces.

I would be delighted if the above could be please criticised.

One thing I don't really see the point of is why you put an Overlord with the Deathmarks?
Of course, you already have filled the troop squads with orbs, but I would consider dropping a lord and use your overlord in one of the large warrior squads instead. This will also give you some points to play around with. You could max out the squads of warriors from 17 to 20 and maybe add some in the arks as well. Other than that, I don't know. Honestly, I have never faced BA.

Hope it works out well! Good luck!

You're up against one of the worst lists in the game right now. The BA shouldn't be a problem. No pressure.

Be careful though. Never underrestimate an opponent... I don't know much abuot BA, but a good player could probably do something nasty, especially if you don't expect it.

I would avoid the maxed out warrior squads personally. BA can play to necron's biggest disadvantage: sweeping advance. If a full assault squad charges in and rolls decently, you may find yourself losing combat by a few and if you roll Ld high, the whole unit is toast. Ave size of 10 is about right i'd say.

Im wondering whats with the phase shifters on your court lords? 45pt upgrade for a one-wound model? Keep em at the back and you'll be fine. If you remove those, you can stick another 180 points of killy-ness somewhere else. I'd also drop TL from your overlord in favor of MSS. If he gets into CC, the TL is a (roughly) 50/50, one shot item, when you could have a 50/50 as-many-uses-as-you-damned-well-please item for 5 pts less.

aside from that, most advantages the BA has are melee and mobility, especially with their stormravens. I'd keep your flyer watching the skies, and, ideally, out of multi-melta range. As for ground? You best be aware that you WILL get charged. Those stormteks might help alot with a lightning field, or maybe even transmog teks with crucible.

Lastly, I'd personally go with heavy gauss on my stalker, and particle whips on my blades. I like the stalker being either a vehicle-popper or granting twin-linked from the safety of 36" As for the particle weaposn, i think 5 blasts is alot scarier than 5-pretty fast immortals to someone who is going to get their armor save anyway.

I would suggest immortal-heavy force, but the wife-penalty stops that dead in it's tracks

BA are now a lot like vanilla marines that pay more for most everything (except devastators) and get less thanks to 6th edition rules. FC is now laughable and FNP is less efficient against small arms fire like gauss and tesla. Oh and they don't get null zone. Or riflemen dreads. Or lucious pods. Or cheap TH/SS terminators. But the vanilla marines sure get those Stormravens.

With careful movement, Necrons can manage who gets charged and when the BA can do it. As long as the charging squad is not DC (shoot them in the face), the damage shouldn't be too bad.

Thank you all for your help, and comments. I've revised the list somewhat, based a little on what's been said here and from what I can guess about En's tactics. Also to take advantage of the double FOC.

HQ 965
Destroyer Lord, WS, MSS, SW
Overlord, WS, RO, SW, MSS,
Trazyn the Infinite (MSS)
Despair, VoD
3x Lances (Royal Court deployment)
Storm, Lightening

3x Lord, WS, SW, RO

Elites 470
5 Deathmarks (with Despair, Overlord)
5 Lychguard, swords & shields, (Trazyn, Storm) Night Scythe
Stalker, Heavy Gauss Canon

Troops 750
3 x 10 Warriors (each with lord)
2 x 5 Warriors GA

Fast Attack 425
6 Wraiths, 3 coils
7 Scarabs
2 Destroyers

Heavy Support 240
2 x Annihilation Barge
Canoptek Spyder

List 2965

Intention: Spyder to deploy between two arcs with scarabs in a line towards enemy. Ahead of each GA is a 10 man squad with lord, also 10 man squad with lord behind to provide some flank protection. NS to deploy Trazyn & Lychguard. VoD to deploy & kill one unit of black company. I imagine 3x black company will be brought, with 4 x characters, those golden banner people with wings, etc etc. Thus Lychguard to offer some close protection

Questions:
Lychguard / Trazyn or Tomb Blades?
Is NS deployment best for Lych if taken or best with deathmarks?
Any heavy weapons for wraiths?
What to spend another 35 points on? Another storm or lance or lord? Or try to swap NS for DS somehow?
I do have 5 immortals. What would I drop for them?

Thank you very much, I really do appreciate the feedback.
