I'd say this list looks about as balanced as can be. What are your options for recon and armour?

Armour is not that good as it is all 1 man turret. and very expense for not much, I have found that the French is more about infantry and Artie, due to the trench warfare rule. Exhumed, cool comic by the way.

Hmm, in that case I'd look into options for increasing the strength of the individual arty platoons, as smaller units like you're listed lose effectiveness pretty quick once they lose a gun.

Burning empire.

Though I can't comment on most of the list (I don't have experience with French), I would concur with increasing the artillery. I have Italians in Early War with which I use a lot of artillery, and once you go down to 1 gun, the penalties make bombardments almost useless.
