I am wanting to use Sammael as an HQ choice for my DA force I'm currently building, but with a $50 pricetag (and finecast, to boot) I have no interest in purchasing the official model. Anyone have any tips or tricks for converting their own? I can likely make do with any old Captain as a body, but I'm not sure where I'm going to come up with a decent jetbike model. If all else fails I may simply use a normal bike - my army is a DA successor anyway so having a 'counts as' wouldn't be too horrible.

I think I recall someone using BFG ships for jetbikes

Could use that for inspiration

try a chapterhouse or maxmini jetbike - I am using the maxmini for mine, with leftover DA parts from various kits.

best of luck!

Isn't resin the stuff that Finecast is made from? Forgive my ignorance, I just prefer the normal plastic-on-sprue kits that GW sells (like the stuff that comes in the Dark Vengeance box). If it's good quality stuff then both the chapterhouse and maxmini options look fantabulous.
